Hello! we are the” futupasta” group, we are studying teaching trainning, this blog has been created in order to post the tasks of the subject "institutional organization''. We are a diverse group, while we were struggling to find things that we had in common, we finally concluded that what unites us all is the futurama series and our love for pasta, so that's what we are named FUTUPASTA.
We have decided to create a logo with photos of the characters of Futurama custumized like us.

Our ideal school (Second day)
The last Thursday we continue with the expositiong of our ideal school, the first group was "Rigatonni Angels", I think that in the start the video was a little bit boring because they only talk and in the interviews the sound was bad and I can't follow the words with the subtittles, but later when they make the travel I think that the video was much better, it was funny and at least they work like a group and they enjoy the works, and the think that I like most was when they dance and sing all and the same time.
The second group was "Escuela de Bocación", I think that their video was the best in the class, I think that it was perfect, because it's not boring, it's creative, they invent an history with shadows and figures, and I can't say only one thing that I like more, but I fall in love with "Bocacioncito", but it was awesome.
The third group was "La banda del patio", I think that this group had some problems and its hard for they to do it, but its a nice work, a little bit short but they say the main ideas clear, but one thing that I dislike was the mix of the voices with the characters and they, because it was so embarrasing, but with all the problems that they had and all these things I think that it's good.
The last group was "The rollkids" I think that this work was so long because they have a lot or independet parts, I think that it was good but these parts are not connecting with each one, but the video was not boring, they have a lot of interesting things and the part that I like more was the method of make the ideal school with the game "Los sims", it was so visual and I enjoy it a lot because my group want to do it but at the end we don't do.

Our ideal school, second day (Lucía Moreno)
This
Thursday we had the second session of expositions about our ideal school.
The first
group was “Rigatoni’s Angels”. Their work was a little similar to ours. They
told us a story about a nowadays teachers who travel to the future in 2075 to discover
which things they can change to improve education system. They did a kind of
version of the film “Back to the future”. The first part of the video was a
little bit boring because of the interviews, but inside of them I found
interesting points of view from teachers and students. But I really like their
work because they explained perfectly how their school would be and the final
part song was so funny.
The second was “Escuela de bocación”. This was my favourite presentation. I think
that it was so creative the way to tell the story and their objectives without
being boring. First they introduced to us Bocacioncito (with this name I fell
in love), who is a little kid with problems of inclusion in his school. Then
they told us a story using origami with some kind of elements like animals or
objects, which showed to Bocacionito’s mum how an ideal and inclusive school
would be. Finally our classmates appeared in the video telling more
characteristics about they wanted for their school. The tenderest part was
their Aladdin’s version song about their ideal school. I like so much from this
work that is so important the role of the parents, because always is important
to exist cooperation between parents and teachers for children’s development.
Both have to care about them, because if one of them do not, then education
fails.
The third
was “La banda del patio”. This video was also similar to ours in the way of
making it. They picked up images from cartoons like we did with Futurama, and
they built a story about their ideas. Their work told us how a student did not
want to do what his traditional teacher said, then all the students touched
together to express what they want for their ideal school, for example to have
all the same rights even if they have disabilities.
The final
was “The rol kids”. This work had a different way of exposition, because they
made a physical magazine with all the contents to introduce us their objectives.
They talked about inclusive school, same opportunities for all or good environment
learning. After the magazine they showed the structure of the school with a lot
of places to work together and to develop all the sills that they wanted. Then
they showed a video about a little child, Pedro, who is not able to talk. So he
dreams with a school where every class would have a teacher who knows sign
language and without obstacles. Finally they put a video of Professional Community
Learning to see education from other point of view.

La Banda del Patio's ideal school
Finally
we have ‘’La banda del patio’’s video, this video shown the need of the school
to change and how this change has to take into account the students needs and
ideas. This video shows the importance of the students to have ‘’voice’’ in
their school, to be listened. The main ideas of this school was that the
teachers should be helpful with their students and not a barrier, there should
be plenty different spaces and also resources.
The
collaboration of the families with the teachers is also pretty important and
the families can help in the school and also have some voice too. They presented
also the traditional school with the strict and non-vocational teacher, the bad
communication between teachers and students and the inflexible curriculum.
I
think what this video has of creative is the story and how the story is linked
with the theory, the story is quite creative and is also one of the things I
like most about this video. But another thing I like about this project is that
even when they have had many problems they have got a good result and they have
overcome the issues together to finally get it.
Rolkids' project
The
video of the Rol kids was made in a very different way, the first part was a
magazine, and they included a tale and also a video about the learning
communities. The idea of the magazine was pretty creative and I’m sure it was a
very hard work including the two other videos. They give us a more theoretical point
of view with the magazine but in a creatively way.
The
main ideas of this video were the learning communities which I didn’t know before
and I think the idea of the cooperation and collaboration in schools is pretty
important. The idea of inclusion was shown in the tale but also in the
magazine, they make it very clear the importance of integration. They also
talked about the abilities of Jenkins and the role of the teacher as a guide
and not as a source. Furthermore they clarify the importance of the technology
in the classroom and a meaningful learning; they added the importance of the
teachers to be updated and to know both the content and their students. Lastly
they spoke about the importance of the communication between teachers and also
between the families and students.
What
I liked more about this video was the tale about the deaf kid because it showed
pretty well how the kids with
disabilities see the school and the needs of the school to change and to start
integrating those kid, being careful about their needs and giving everyone what
they need to learn meaningfully.
Rigatonnis' video
The
main ideas of the Rigatonnis’ ideal school are that the subjects must to be
related, one subject to another so then the students will be able to make those
relationships in their real life and use what they have learnt in their day by
day, also that the school structure is thought to all the students also the
students with disabilities, as this school supports the inclusive education it
tries to make the special resources and methods for the students with
disabilities also employable and useful to those who hasn’t. In this school all
of the students are equal so they have the same rights, also they do both
practice and theory. This school supported learning by having fun and the
teachers knowing the content, the pedagogy and their students.
Rigatonnis
also show an interview of a real school in which they talked to the parents who
said that the communication between parents, teachers and students was very
close but that they would like their kids to have less homework so as they have
so much extracurricular classes they could have more free time. They also
talked to a teacher who said that there’s a need of the parties to reach an
agreement to make an education law so the law doesn’t change when the party
changes and that this law should support new methodologies. Finally they talked
to the kids which said that they wanted to play more. Furthermore, they talk
about the traditional education as it has non-vocational teachers,
authoritarian methodology and that the teachers don’t understand the students’
needs.
What
I like more about this video was the last part with as it was very funny
and dynamic but I also liked the overall story because I think that they
have represented it very well the theory through it, the story itself was also
quite good. Furthermore I think this group has been really creative because
they had known how to link all the parts of the video through the story so it
didn’t see so much as part, it was more and less like a whole. But what I like
the most most most about the video was the catchy songs they used!
Escuela de Bocacion's ideal school
The ‘’Escuela de Bocación’’s
ideal school was a place in which the kids should enjoy going school and be
happy, the teachers have good relationship with each other and they also work
together, they developed creativity and the multiple intelligences. This school
had resources for people with disabilities that were useful to every student;
they developed cooperative learning (so everyone learn from each other) and the
autonomy of the students. The teachers were an scaffold to their students and
they adapt their methodology to the kids. This school was a learning community
and had plenty resources.
They explain this school through
Bocacioncito’s a story that I think all of us love, this little kid feel
unhappy with his traditional classes and his non-vocational teachers so his mum
decided to change it going through a forest in which the animals and everyone
she found give her same keys about the ideal school like having a common law.
This video was very creative not only because of the story but because of the
way the story was shown, the resources they used, it was almost twenty minutes
that went too quickly also the music was made for this video
Personally, I find quite
difficult to find the thing I like most, but if I had to decide, I would say
the way they have made this tale so lovely including the theory perfectly, it
was very well linked and it made it not boring at all. Furthermore I love how tender this tale was, I’m
sure that even little kids would like it.
Second day of video presentations (4 groups)
“RIGATONI’S
ANGELS”
The presentation
of the group was different and interesting.
They have a very creative concept and plot in their work. At first we saw in
the video an interview taking place in a school, in the first moments in the
video we can see the points of view of teachers, students and parents. It was a
nice interview and it was emphasized the importance of cooperative learning and
good environment in the class, the big amount of books (that is not always a
good thing) and how kids feel about homework and school.
Then the group
plays a little sketch. At first it’s show how sometimes teachers feel helpless
and unhappy with what they do because they feel like their job has no point and
the children don’t really learn from then .The solution came with an original
way when the group of teachers decide to travel to the future to see in the
first hand how will be the ideal school.
The main ideas
of this work I think is the teachers role , school structure that appeal to
everyone’s needs ,cooperative learning , not to stuck in the curriculum ,
cooperation and communication between teachers-students-parents, change of the
educational law and the importance of the new technologies . I like the variety
in the video and of course the dancing in the end, it was very funny.
"LA
BANDA DEL PATIO"
The group had a
very difficult problem with their video because they lost their work and they
had to done it from the beginning that itself makes them deserve congrats. The
video was a little bit shorter than the others but had scenes from my favorite
carton (like for the most of us) as a child so I liked it and I think the
scenes they choose and their dialogues was creative.
At first we have
the image of a traditional school that the strict teachers and the headmaster don’t
listen to students’ voices about their different interests and their different needs
and the curriculum is not flexible at all. As a result the students ask for
their rights and fight for their school to change. The end was happy and they
had their school as they imagined it.
The main ideas I
think are the inclusion of all students in school, the change of school and of teachers’
attitudes, cooperation and adaption of the curriculum.
I found good
their plan of the ideal school with the 3 floors and also the triangle that
they shown us ‘’ teacher-children-content’’.
"ESCUELA
DE BOCACIÓN"
I thing that the
work my classmates done with their project is amazing! I loved their video and
their idea was very original. They play a shadow -theatre that was perfect, the
scenery, the dialogue, the ideas everything was very well showed. I think that what this group did is what a
good teacher should include to his/hers teaching methods, to explain ideas throw stories.
The story was a fairytale
about a little student Bocacioncito that he was facing problems in school and
he had negative behavior from his teacher who couldn’t understand the diversity
of her pupils and expect from all of them to learn with the same traditional
method. That made Bocacioncito feels very bad and have low self esteem, he
thought that he will never be could enough so he give up the try and he couldn’t
even trouble to study his homework. So his mother that noticed the strange
behavior of her child went to school to see what the problem was. She saw
things that she couldn’t believe the organization of school encourage exclusion
instead of inclusion so she understand that in this spirit her son and a lot of
other kids could never reach knowledge and meaningful learning.
The explanation
of how the school building should be was also creative and well understood and
all the parts were connected in a very good way.
The main ideas
was the inclusive education, cooperative learning, respect to diversity because
everyone can teach us something, the concept of multiple intelligences, to
leave children have their imagination and creativity and freedom. Also teachers’
cooperation, parents’ communication with the school, equity and autonomy for
the children.
The result was
very nice and we all enjoyed it and it show how the members cooperate very good
with each other and that they worked hard.
"THE ROLE
KIDS"
The work of this
group had parts. That thing helped so their work had variety. The first part
was the creation of an educational newspaper it’s a really unique and different
idea and we didn’t see something like this in the others presentation. They
give newspapers printed to each group while they explain the content in the
blackboard what we have to do to improve education. To create a newspaper with
all these ideas must be a very hard work and good for them that they managed to
do it.
The part of the
presentation of the ideal school I liked the most, it was made with the help of
the video game Sims and their idea was very clear in our minds after watching
their presentation.
I also enjoyed
the cartoon ‘’Peter`s dream’’ that was about inclusion and respect to diversity
of students , everybody had place in the regular class no matter what and
everybody together can make the difference with help from cooperative techniques.
The part that
was about their work in a real school I didn’t understand very well because it
was so late so I think we lost this part a little.
The main ideas
were: inclusion, start teaching based on previous knowledge of our students,
learn from the difference, use new media to help learning, evaluation for
teachers and school for teachers ,interactive working groups and climate of
mutual respect for all.
In conclusion I found
all the presentations very interesting and I can see that was made with hard
work. I enjoy these two days of presentations a lot!!!

First day of presentations - the ideal school
In the
first day we presentate our video of ideal school. Our idea was to use scenes
of the popular cartoon futurama , to create a scenario and with our voices to show in a fun way how
we imagine the ideal school for us .
The second group
was the differents. They made a very interesting video that it didn’t make us
bored at all. At first our classmates use scenes from the show Simpsons and use
their voices to change the script. In this part we didn’t see the ideal school
but how schools which use traditional methods don’t help the learning of the students.
We saw scenes of bulling, the indifference of the teacher and how punishment affects
in a way negative the students. In the second part of the video they act themselves
.We were able to see how the students could learn better by informing the
theory in practice. One teacher use dance and movement of the body because the
students have problems to understand the body parts.
Also the class took place
in a park and not inside the classroom I think is very useful for the children
to live once in a while the class. Also the way that it was shown the plan of
the ideal school was quite effective they use a blackboard and they make draws
so we could see step by step their idea. The key-idea in the video I think it
was the importance of the teachers role. It was very clear how a teacher can
make the difference in students learning in a bad and in the second part in a
good and effective way. We all enjoy the video and laugh a lot with the deleted
scenes and we have the feeling that the group cooperate well and they had fun
together.

The Differents' ideal school
The Differents’ ideal school was
one in which the teachers supported experienced learning, this is to say, they
wanted their students to learn by their experience so their school mixed both,
theory and practice (because both of them are necessary) so the students were
able to go deeper in their learning and make it a meaningful learning. Also, in
this school they develop some classes outside the classroom, so the students
learn in different spaces. This school uses cooperative learning in their
classes so the diversity of this school was thought as a virtue which helps
students to learn from the others.But in this video they also
talked about the traditional methodology and show that by this method the
students weren’t happy and didn’t learn as much as they could learn, in this
traditional school the teachers weren’t motivated so neither their students
were.
I
think the Differents have done a creative task because they mixed different
ways of showing the information, the first one with the tv series ‘’The
simpsons’’ in which they represented the traditional school, then they used the
drawing in the whiteboard to show the structure of the building and finally
they did a funny video in which they did like a class of the human body and did
a little dance that even when it was a song that we all knew they did it so
funny that we all like that.
If I had to say what I like most
of this video was how they showed the structure of the school, I think that as
they did recording the draw it was more interactive. So this part, that we all
know is the part of the task that was more dense, was explained very well and
was dynamic so we didn’t get bored. But I also like quite a lot about this
video that in this video was shown the complicity between all the members and
that they have had plenty fun doing it, also it was shown that each of them did
a hard work to make this project as much better as they could.
Ideal School #1 (Nacho)
On Thursday we start the presentations of our ideal school, the group that start the presentation is our group so I can't say anything of it.

I think that this video is so creative because the are the only ones that go out of class and make something like one class in a park, they do a fisical education class and it was so funny, when they sing and dance, I really love this part, and also creative because they draw with their hands and record this draw about their ideal school, so it was pretty good. The best part of the video like I just say was the part when Sergio make the class in the park and make to the others dance, but the outtakes in the video are so funny to and I like this part too.

Last day of presentations about cooperative learning
Last Thursday
we had two presentations in class the one was made by the group ‘’escuela de
bocacion ‘’ and the other by our group ‘’futupasta’’ . In the last day that we
have this subject (the guide for cooperative learning) we still learnt a lot of
new information that we didn’t know before.
First of
all ,the students of the group ‘’escuela de bocation’’ talked about the theory of multiple
intelligences and how this theory is connected with the cooperative learning. The connection
is obvious but I never thought about this in this way before. Like in the theory of multiple intelligences a
lot of different intelligences are much better than one intelligence alone to
solve any problem, in a similar way the ideas and the knowledge of one student
will be much more improved if he/she shared this ideas and listen to new ones by
cooperating with other students. A lot and different perspectives work much
better than one.
Another
very important idea that was mentioned was the autonomy of the students. The
autonomy of the children is an important factor than have to reach during their
development and something that will affect their lives in general. Our children
have to be autonomous to face the life and the society. Education and we as teachers have to help our
pupils in this area. By guidance and by helping our pupils to organize their
works in groups we help them little every time to be intepended, responsible
and to have no need from others to do their work for them.
The
teachers role is not to give the answer to the pupils like it’s happening in traditional
teaching but to guide them to teach them how to work for finding the answer by
themselves and don’t have it ready for them. The teacher observe his\hers students,
encourages the students have dialogue with them but don’t give them the knowledge
ready, the teacher helps them reach this knowledge by themselves. Also a very
important fact is that the evaluation is not only teacher’s job but also students.
In our
presentation also threw the dialogue and the teacher’s help we also learned a
lot. We have thought before that the method of games tournaments was competitive
and didn’t fit a lot to the spirit of cooperative learning but know we found
out that the example of this method is wrong and that the one price for the
group with the most correct answers win is not a good way to encourage our
students. The prices shouldn’t be first and second but prices for all for
example ‘’the group that overcome the most problems’’.

Thursday presentations about cooperative learning (Paloma)
This Thursday we finished all
the cooperative learning presentations, my group did it the last and something
that have really surprised me is that even while doing my presentation I was
learning, as when we were talking about
the method Team Games Tournament we didn’t know that this method was
bad-explained in the article so we explained it
like it was in the article, before we have already noticed that this
game was pretty competitive and the teacher while doing the presentation
explained us that the key of this game is that as a teacher you have to make as
prizes as groups and those prizes are not the first or the second, those prizes
are qualitative ones like ‘’The team which answer the questions more cooperatively’’,
this is to say, the prizes rewards qualitatively instead of quantitative.
In the ‘’Escuela de bocación’’´s
presentation we learnt quite a lot too, they speak about the importance of the
autonomy in cooperative learning, the team autonomy and each pupil autonomy, in
cooperative learning the develop of the autonomy is essential because the
teacher is giving the pupils too many responsibilities and they have to know
how to handle it. Also, the teacher has to trust the pupils to give them responsibilities
and the teacher has to give these responsibilities little by little, so they
can get this autonomy, this is to say, the teacher has to be an scaffolding so
first the students are learning to be autonomous with him or her but once they learnt
it they are autonomous by themselves.
One thing they talked and caught
my attention was the multiple intelligences, for sure I have heard about them
before but until this presentation I hadn’t made a connection between multiple intelligences
and cooperative learning because one explains the other, one of the differences
between students that cooperative learning thinks not like a difficulty but
like an advantage is the multiple intelligences because as every kid learn in a
different way we also have to take care of this and not focusing only in one
kind of learning, taking care of the multiple intelligences would mean that
everybody would have the same opportunities. Also this theory could take place
in the TAI method because each pupil has its own task related to the way of her
or his learning.
They also talk about the method ‘’Group
investigation’’, this method is about giving each team a subtopic for them to
study and to present to the class, so once they have studied and develop it
they make a presentation to the rest of the class of their subtopic. To make
this method, the teacher has to develop with the team a plan of their work and
established the tasks of each member and the objectives, once they have got all
the information they will have to make a synthesis and then present it to the
class, the assessment will be done with the teacher and the other students.
This project about cooperative
learning has allowed me to see personally and with concepts what cooperative
learning was about, something I have realized is that all the presentation has
enrich themselves with the others and finally the lasts presentations were
pretty good because we have learnt from the others how to develop it. We have
been able to go really deep in cooperative learning and know we are able to
understand how it really works.

Second day of cooperative learning (Lucía)
The second
day of presentations we saw three groups: The different, La Banda del Patio and
Rigatoni’s Angels.
With their
works we talked again about advantages and disadvantages of cooperative learning.
We learnt that there are no disadvantages and difficulties, there are some reason
which we have to teach children how to work in this way and all its benefits.
Another
main point that they talked about was the rules in the classroom. It is so
important to have them in a class, all the children have to realize that they
have the same rights and they have to respect each other to work in a better
way.
It is
important too the way we organize to do our works, it is necessary to have some
methods of meeting, doing it in person or by the media, for example with Skype.
If we don’t meet we lost the meaning of cooperative learning, because although
we have some roles in a work, I think that it is necessary to elaborate the
work all together, because the goal is that all the members could understand
and learn all the contents. I think that this is the philoshopy of
collaborative work, to be able of be equal despite we were different or have
some academic levels.
One of the
methods of working in groups that they explained so well was the Jigsaw method.
They put us a video of a stop motion which we could see some different groups represented
with Haribo bears in a class by colors, they splitted to make the “expert
groups” and transmit the information to their main teams.
Finally
another thing that was interesting was the way of making base teams in class with the three method column.
Although we had this information in our own presentation, it was helpful to see
another point of view in other presentations of our classmates, because this
method is very important to make children feel comfortable in class and to be efficient.

SECOND DAY OF PRESENTATIONS – 3 GROUPS (SOFIA)
This day we
have three presentations in the class. The groups that made their presentations were
the differents , rigatoni’s angels and la banda del patio . From all the groups
we learned new things and it was very interesting to me,to realize that each
group of us emphasize in different thinks (beside the classic ones that we all had
in our works) and for me it was very valuable to see a different way of work
and thinking about the same subject from different groups and people.
The differents
I like a
lot the first presentation and I think it was very interesting to have a debate
in the class all together. The misunderstanding that took place was about the
difficulties. The group didn’t put the word disadvantages in the work as we
learned that we shouldn’t do in the last presentation, but the difficulties
they put weren’t exactly difficulties but more things to be considered from the
teacher before start to work with cooperative learning. For example the
different academic level of the students can’t be considered as difficulty but
as a good thing because that’s the point of cooperative learning not to work
with people same as you ,to gain more. Also I like the sentence that the group use
I think is very important to know how to
‘’choose the right moment the right method’’ as a teacher for the best
possible results. The right way to describe the atmosphere in the class is not a
class of silence but a class that groups are whispering so they communicate in
silence and don’t cause disorder. In my mind it became also more clear the peer
tutoring method. It’s a session and the teacher organizes the work and make
sure that the tutor- student knows the subject to have positive results.

From the
second presentation also I learned more things than before. The personal goals
of the most of the members were to get over their shyness and express
themselves in English . I understand them completely because it’s quite hard to
make a presentation and even harder in another language but I think they did well.
They are in a very good way to succeed in their goals and throught the way the subject
works and organized in this aspect we will all get a lot of help in this area. I
understand completely now that the teacher in cooperative learning is not the
center of attention as it happens in the most of teaching methods but the
students. It’s clearly a student-centered method and the most important thing
is the participation of the students. Also we learned the role of jigsaw
coordinator. A question that being put on the table was ‘’what we do if someone
don’t work’’ and became clear the idea of evaluation.
Rigatoni’s
angels
The last
presentation was from rigatonis angels and it was also a very interesting one.
The group explained very well the concept of based teams and the ways to create
them –sociometric test –let the students choose –three Colum methods. The three
columns method is the one we use in the class to create our groups so we have a
very good example. The students and separated in three big groups each one in
one corner of the class. The first group is the students that are more able to
help the others, the second the students that need more help for social reasons
or academic and the third is the rest of the class that they are in the middle.
The ideal base team should have 1 person from the first column, 1 from the
second and 2 from the third to succeed equality between groups. Also the inclusive
philosophy of the class was a good mention that we as a group think is very important
too. I really like the pictures that the group put in the presentation like the
slogans that inspire the students to their work like post-its and table with the
rules for working in groups that there are so different from the rules that
exist in a regular classroom. At last the idea of web quest was mention again,
an idea that I think is very useful nowadays that our pupils use the new
technology so much and they need webquest as a very good way to
guide their learning.
Tuesday presentations about cooperative learning (Paloma)
This Tuesday three teams make their
expositions: Rigatoni’s angels, La banda del patio and The different. I think
every group made a big effort on their presentation and work really hard to get
the best of their teams. Something I have realized is that as the presentation
have been going we have been going deeper in our knowledge about cooperative
learning because each group had something new to add.
As
teachers who support cooperative learning we have to show our students the
philosophy of the inclusive classroom, this philosophy says that EVERY student
has the right to learn and to be different, the roles of the class have to be
focus on this philosophy for example: ‘’respecting other in its differences’’
or ‘’help the others in their work’’. Those rules can be also about the class
system like respecting someone when he is talking, whispering instead of
talking...
Last
day we also learn about how (as a teacher) to make the based teams, it could be
done by a sociometric test but also we could use the ‘’Three columns method’’
in which you decide which kids have more needs (third column, this has to be a
quarter of the class), those one’s who are a little more advanced and could
impulse the based team (first column and another quarter of the class) and the
second column the rest of the class. Finally, the based teams should have one
person of the first and second column and another two from the second one, this
way every based team would be heterogeneous and diverse so the learning would
go deeper and the cooperative learning method would start working. The sociometric
is a technique of analyzing data that studies who the social connections are
established, so it reflects the influence level and the preference bonds, for
example, it would be done with two kinds of questions the knowledge questions
(With whom would you like to work in a math assignment?) and affective one’s
(With whom do you prefer to go on a excursion?).
Furthermore,
we talked about the method jigsaw, in which each member of the team studies a
subtopic, then he or she goes with the other members of other teams who have
the same subtopic as him/her, the share the information they know about this
subtopic make a synthesis and become in a experts team, once they have
summarised everything and know what are going to explain to their mates they
come back to their based team and explain the their colleagues her/his
information, then the other ones do the same so everybody explains their
subtopic and listen to the others’ subtopic.
Some
of these groups included the Webquest which is a new resource for the teachers
to introduce the children to a new task; I have found it quite interesting
because this new resource has some parts as an introduction, the explanation of
the task, the process... which I think explains the task and its goals perfectly
(as it has the evaluation based on descriptions). This page provides the
students with the bibliography they should use in their task which allows covering
the danger of getting the wrong information on the internet (which is very usual
actually.).
Cooperative learning #3 (Nacho)
The group that starts today was "Escula de Bocación", and I think that in the time that they have and how they explain all the things was one of the betters. They are based on meet a lot for rewrite and review all, again and again, the help to the others, the cooperation and the cooperative learning.
They talk about the autonomy of the group like a quality, they talk about the teachers plan that its one of the most important things that we see and they show us, the teacher must to have a plan for the class or the sesion to explain all or to do what ever he/she wants and for the end they talk about Group of investigation that its something like Jigsaw, but in your own group, you don't need to go out of your group to explain something that the others don't know to other group that its not yours, you must be an expert ina subtopic inside your own group and tell to your partners and at the end be an expert in your own topic with the explanation of your partners and your in all topic.

The next group was "La banda del patio", they are based on the organization, that don't be shy in the group or in the presentation when they have to talk to the others or give their own opinion, and in the cooperative learning too.
They said, that they are going to reforce their own objetives if they can't rise to do it, that they must help to the others if they need it, or if they need help, say to the others and that they need help and not wait to the others ask you.
The last group was "Rigatonis angels", they are based on the three columns of the cooperative learning, the help to the others and the cooperative learning.

Cooperative learning by Rol Kids (Lucía)
The first
group has been The Rol Kids, formed by Silvia, María López, Borja, Lidia and
Cristina. First Borja introduced their team plan, their roles and the time that
they had spent working. Later they started with cooperative learning contents.
The first thing they said was advantages and disadvantages about it. Yolanda
said that there are not disadvantages, in any case, we could say that there are
difficulties or tasks which we have to take care about. I have never thought about
it, but it is one of the most important things that we have to learn in
cooperative learning.
I really
like their presentation, I could understand all they said and I learned
concepts that I did not have. The only thing is that in the part of web quest,
I did not get it clear, and I think that not all of the members of the group
understood it, so they transmitted it to me.
This has
been the first presentation of the subject and I think that it has been useful
to learn and improve our future presentations.

Cooperative learning - Rol kids (Sofia)
The first
presentation took place last Thursday and the first group was ‘’rol kids’’. The
presentation lasted a lot of time (it took all the class time) for the reason
that it was the first time a group made a presentation in the class with this
new way of learning and a lot of things should be disgusted with the help of
the teacher, for us to know how to work in our presentations. I found the
presentation that my classmates did very interesting and I think they did a
good job.
They
analyze the importance to work in a cooperative way in a group emphasizing the
important factor that everyone can learn from each other. The main ideas were
very clear and all the members knew the entire context and they could explain
it in a very understandable way. That’s was the most important thing about our
presentation in the first place. Also the members worked hard and have a lot of
meetings together and they overcome the difficulties that they said they had at
first. The mistake that the group did was that they write disadvantages instead
of differences. I believe it was only a lesson for all of us to understand that
difficulties don’t mean the same as disadvantages and have a very different
meaning but is very easy to trick us.
An
impressive thing about the presentation was the webquest the group showed to us
and I really like this idea. The presentation was very helpful for all of us
and we learn more about cooperative learning throw the explanation of the group,
the help of the teacher and threw the discussion that took place in class.

We started the class with the presentation of the group "Rol kids", they explain the cooperative learning as a group, they talk about: Cooperative, help to the others, good relationships, know about heterogeneity, integration, motivation, attitude.... and all of these things that they do at home and in class to make the work and how to explain it to us.
I learnt of their work that we must to planificate the time with a timetable, that we're in a diagonal structure in class because with this structure we can see to all the others and to the teacher. Cooperative learning haven't got disvantages and in a presentation we can't say things like this, because we agree with this method. I learnt that we are a group of investigation and all about a web quest.

Rol kids presentation about cooperative learning (Paloma)
We have started the presentations about cooperative learning in
class, the first presentation was of the group ''Rol kids'', they explained
cooperative learning with a power point, the synthesis of their work was that
working in a cooperative way increase the learning because you are learning
from someone who is different so you learn more and also the metioned the importance of
learning how to learn.They talked about the base of cooperative learning, based teams and its organization. They also included an example of a web quest which I
think it has been pretty interesting and doing the web quest by their selves
has been an incredible work. They talk about group investigation and peer
tutoring, explain both methods pretty well and then they added a video that
summed up everything about cooperative learning.
Even though, I previously knew things about cooperative learning,
I think I have learnt quite a lot, as I said before the idea of increasing the
learning with the differences, the main parts of the webquest because I didn’t
know that the webquest had parts and I think this information is quite useful
and also I have learnt the difference between disadvantages and difficulties,
they made this as a mistake but I think this is something that we all have had
the wrong idea, so I see this mistake of the group as a way of making the whole
class reflect about these two differences, so it was a mistake but one who has
helped us.
